Matthew's News and Gossip

So after a quick trip to Amsterdam, I made it to London. I found Amanda at the aiport and we snuck into the center of town and went and played tourist. The first big tourist day was at St Pauls, the Tower of London (including an enactment of the Guy Fawkes gunpowder plot) and the Houses of Parliament. It was a really hot day, so we were forced to stop for several pints of Youngs on the way.

The next day we went out to lunch with the lovely Gabrielle (almost MP for Liverpool) and then off to Buckingham Palace, then to Horseguards Parade and finally into the Cabinet War Rooms (with the new Winston Churchill museum).

Then it was time to sneak off to see the family. After a splendid dinner, we took a walk with sister Dordy and fiancee Si's dog Ross, who fell in love with me. Then my other sister Rox and her boy Rob put on a clay pigeon shoot (I got one first shot!) and a barbie.
